Rocky Jones, Space Ranger follows the adventures of the crew of the Orbit Jet (X-V2) as they bring law and justice to outer space. The captain of the Orbit Jet is Rocky Jones. He is assisted by Ranger-in-training Bobby, ship's navigator and resident damsel-in-distress Vena Ray, and the brilliant Professor Newton.
Rocky Jones, Space Ranger was produced on film, unlike most of the other sci-fi programs of the era which were done live: Captain Video, Tom Corbett and Space Patrol.
