Mia had a setback in her life at the age of 9 when she contracted Polio. (edit) Mia is part Irish from her mother side. (edit) Mia's daughter, Mallone attends Bard College and anticipates graduating in the class of 2007. (edit) Mia measurements have barely changed since her start in the business. In 1960 she was 32-22-34, now in 1996 she remains close to those, she is 33 ½-24-35 (edit) Mia is a UNICEF special representative. It is one of her passions. (edit)

Mia: The Maharishi did do one thing right. He put meditation in terms the Western world could understand. That was important. (edit) Mia: Women in Africa, generally a lot needs to be done for women. Women are not being educated, not only in Angola but my trip to Nigeria, one point I would make over and over again was that women need to be educated too. (edit) Mia: There are people who are suffering beyond description. They are innocent people, they didn't bring this upon themselves. They are the victims of the sins of other people. And while it's hard to see, it's important to understand that these people exist. (edit) Mia: I want a big career, a big man, and a big life. You have to think big - that's the only way to get it... I just couldn't stand being anonymous. (edit) Mia: I get it now; I didn't get it then. That life is about losing and about doing it as gracefully as possible... and enjoying everything in between.
