One of her beauty secrets is getting at least 9 or 10 hours of sleep every night. (edit) Ellen Barkin has the same birthday as Martin Lawrence, Lukas Haas, and Jon Cryer, among others. (edit) Barkin had filmed a scene with Matt Damon in Ocean's 12 but it got cut. She has half-jokingly said that if that scene was included she probably would not have been able to do Ocean's 13, as she had used a foreign accent in the cut scene. (edit) One of Barkin's favorite designers is L'Wren Scott. (edit) Ellen Barkin: I like the idea that people think I've been naked so many more times than I have, because it seems to me like I've done my job. I just think, 'Great. If I hit it so strong that they thought I was naked, then good.' (edit)

Ellen Barkin: The older I get the shorter I want my hair to be. (edit) Ellen Barkin: I think I have an interesting kind of sexuality. It's not always what they want, out there in Hollywood. They tend to like the fragile girl more and I think my sexuality is more male than female. (edit) Ellen Barkin: I want to look as good as I can for a 53-year-old. I don’t want to look as good as I can for a 30-year-old. If you do that ‘who’s sexier’ thing, I’m always going to go with Susan Sarandon or Meryl Streep. It’s not just a physical thing. It kind of breaks my heart. I think, Why aren’t you happy in your fifties? Why aren’t you happy in your forties? (edit) Ellen Barkin: I wouldn't take my clothes off, but I've only done that twice, contrary to what everyone in the world believes. I was never naked in Bad Company, I was fully clothed, with a dress on. I didn't have my clothes off in The Big Easy, Dennis Quaid did. (edit) Ellen Barkin: (on being the only lead female in Ocean's 13) You just have all these guys, from Carl Reiner, to Casey Affleck, and everybody in between. And then there's you.
