Bill appeared in The Vertical Hour as Oliver Lucas on Broadway in 2006/2007, earning a Theatre World Award. (edit) At the 2007 Teen Choice Awards, Bill won as Choice Movie Villain for his role as Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. (edit) He is an ambassador for charity organisation DebRA. (edit) He turned down a role in the British Tv series Coronation Street. (edit) At the age of 17, he left his home and ran away to Paris, where he thought he could write his novel. While he was there, he never wrote a word. (edit)

Bill Nighy: They have Love Actually parties now in America. Every Christmas the ladies in particular will open some wine and settle down to watch it all over again. Nothing could give me more pleasure than that. (edit) Bill Nighy: I speculate to be sociable, but it's a very big deal for me that any work I do should be well received. Bill Nighy: The British consul shipped me home for 25 quid and I had to pay my father back, he was a wee bit cross.
