Calista has been nominated for eight SAG awards. From 1998-2001 she was nominated for both Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series for Ally McBeal. In 1999 she won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. (edit) On April Fool’s Day, 2007, Calista was proposed to by her partner, Harrison Ford. After accepting the proposal, Calista and Harrison plan to marry once Harrison finishes filming the fourth Indiana Jones movie. (edit) During school, people were always having trouble with her name. So she would just say that her name was Carol or Jennifer to make life easier. (edit) Calista was hesitant at first in taking the role of Ally McBeal. But then she immediately fell in love with the writing and the character. (edit) Calista's parents always supported her in her desire to be an actress. Even when her friends were encouraging her to change professions, her parents never did. (edit)

Calista: (on the WGA strike) It was a mixed blessing for me to have a little bit of a break, but I am very happy that we are all back and up and running. (edit) Calista (on what attracted her to Brothers and Sisters): Well, primarily it was the script. I loved the complexity of the relationships between the siblings and the complexity of my relationship with my mother, and that really appealed to me. If the script hadn't come along, I probably would still not be working. (edit) Calista: We had a little walk around. We went to the zoo and it was wonderful. (edit) Calista: Just the whole idea of what drives people to violence and if we know about it maybe we can prevent it. It's interesting. And these people live among us. (edit) Calista: So people think I'm lying about my age all the time? It's the records that are wrong. I've never told anyone how old I am. The minute they ask me, I say 'That's none of your business.' So that means I've never once lied about my age. Now that's true! (edit)
