South park unlike many tv shows today is ahead of its time. The show gets better every season with more jokes and interesting episode plots. Other tv shows today go downhill but South Park goes uphill.

The creators of the show Matt Stone and Trey Parker were sure the show would fail after the first episode aired but it didn't. South Park has been a huge success for them.

South Park deals with themes and issues that sometimes lands them into hot water, espically with the Scientologists, Australians (over Steve Irwin's parody on the show), Catholics and many other different type of people. But what I love most of all in this show is the main characters. (Eric) Cartman- a rude fat boy, Kyle Broflovski - Jewish, cautious and witty , Stan Marsh- skeptic, most straight and gullible &
Kenny McCormick- poor and killed a lot.

What can I say. South Park was one of those animated television shows that was kind of boring at first and then got better as seasons progressed. This show made characters that got into trouble with the law etc. and always stayed up to date. They made a show for Michael Jackson when he went to trial, Barack Obama when he was going to be president, and they even featured Saddam whosane, jesus, and the devil. The tv series has been out since the late 90's and has gotten better with every episode and season. If this show keeps up the work, it can be on tv for a long time to come.

If the ultimate test of a social satirist is the number of people, South Park has to be on the short list for the Nobel Prize for Satire. South Park is banned in Russia, a country where strip-tease dancing and bad rock bands are considered tasteful half-time entertainment at mass sporting events. The Catholic League has not only condemned South Park, but its leader has been portrayed on the show (as an animated character), repeating his real-life assessment of the show's creators as "little whores." It really takes a warped but refined skill to make dignified guys whose bread and butter is ignoring the class clown break character and swear like longshoremen.

This show turns around four real-life fourth-graders who generally behave like fourth graders do in real life - they swear like little sailors when the grown-ups are away, they connive at carnage and larceny when they have free time, and in general play act our exceedingly strange society. Thereby have some very strange, hilarious tales hung since Trey Parker and Matt Stone created their first South Park story, "The Spirit of Christmas," and has become an award-winning show that is a unique blend of humor and satire.

The thing that separates South Park from all the lame, stupid, gratuitously gross and sick imitators of South Park on Adult Swim and Toon Channel is that Stone and Parker rely on authentic insanity of real life for their material. They also are distinct from the rest of the Comedy Channel line-up in that when they do political humor, they don't sound like Hand Puppet Time at the Democratic National Convention. South Park makes fun of EVERYONE - the smug, self-appointed "opinion leaders" of Hollywood, the frantically self-promoting Al-Gores and Hillary Clintons of politics... and as long as they mine that vein of comedic ore, they'll never run out of material.

Thanks to South Park, there's a carpet cleaning outfit in the town where I live that's made quite a bundle off of me, and I,ve lost track of the number of times I've whoopsed my whiskey sours all over my living room rug because of Southpark making me laugh so hard. This usually happens during Southpark's Halloween specials. One of my all time favorites was the episode where Kenny gets killed by a falling space station and is mistakenly embalmed with meat sauce, thus bringing him back to life as a flesh eating zombie. The boys take him trick or treating, and Kenny literally bites the hands that feed him. Another all time classic was the episode where the boys dig up Kyle's dead grandmother who is promptly eaten by a stray dog, while the band Korn solves the mystery of the Ghost Pirates. Over the years, South Park has elevated bad taste to a fine art and produced one twisted howler after another. Hat's off to Trey Parker and Friends for all the belly laughs!
