This is one of the greatest comedies to ever hit TV, it's been on for such a long time, it has 500 episodes, and it's still great. Sure, the newer seasons are pretty downhill, but they're still good, the earlier seasons were perfect, that's the only word that can describe them. The movie wasn't that great, still, everything you expected in a simpsons movie, just not executed correctly, still, had all the plots, and comedy. Gonna hate when this finally ends though, it will be an end of such a memorable time in TV history, thankfully, Futurama may come back, at the very least, it still has DVDs. Simpsons is just so good, such classic lines and characters, everyone will remember the antics of Bart Simpson and partner in crime Milhouse, with big bad softy Nelson... The braniac little Lisa, and the aspiring genius Maggie... The idiotic, but classical and hilarious father and husband Homer, and stay at home mom Marge... the lines that will be remembered "D'oh!", "Ay Curumba!!" "Meh...", and my personal favorite "It's better than walking in on both parents, than just one, trust me"

The Simpsons originally started out on The Tracy Ullman Show as shorts on the April 19, 1987 starting with "Good Night".The final short to air was "TV Simpsons", originally airing on May 14, 1989.
The Simpsons would later debut on December 17, 1989 with the Christmas special "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" and is still going strong. The Simpsons hold many records including longest animated sitcom in US history, most amount of celebrirites who have guest starred on the show and many others. The show is about a typical American nuclear family, "The Simpsons" with a funny twist. Homer- the dumb father, Marge- the mother, Bart- the prankster son, Lisa- the only one likely to succeed in life and Maggie- the family baby. This will always be a favourite of mine and I hope The Simpsons can pa*s Gunsmoke's amount of episodes and keep on going for a very long time.

The early seasons of the show I have no interest in them. The comedy is stale and the animations and drawings are crude. The more recent episodes and the new ones are my favorite. Anything after the fifth season tends to be entertaining to me, its more comedic, the animations are smoother and tends to be much more funny than the earlier ones. The plot is a bit mixed up compared to a steady plot line. The newer ones begin at one end of the line and at the end are no longer on the line any longer. It strays from its origin but maybe that is why its funnier.
