1. Daddy's Accident
First aired: 10/29/1990In this series premiere, we are introduced to the infamous prim and proper Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet), her less-than-socially-acceptable extended family, and Hyacinth's long-suffering husband, Richard. The episode focusses sees Hyacinth coming to terms that her 'Daddy' is in hospital, having chased the milk lady on his bicycle - naked.

2. The New Vicar

Hyacinth drags Richard off for a day out in the country - On the way, she decides to visit her father. She doesn't get to see him because he has 'escaped' from Daisy and Onslow's house by climbing down a drainpipe dressed as "Captain Midnight"! Apparently, he's gone to save the woman at the Post Office from a "fate worse than death"(Hyacinth?!). Hyacinth and Richard then visit a stately home. Hyacinth insists on hanging around the "family area", hoping to meet the nobility; To her dismay, Onslow, Daisy and Rose turn up, forcing them to make a hasty exit!

Hyacinth's father strangely seems to have become engaged and his 'fiancee' has moved herself into his bedroom at Daisy's house! Hyacinth is called round to sort things out and get rid of the woman. Rose's love life also causes problems.

5. Daisy's Toyboy

Daisy tries to convince Onslow that she's found herself a seventeen-year-old "toyboy", in an attempt to make him jealous but Onslow doesn't seem to take any notice.
'The Ladies' Circle' are expecting a guest speaker at the church hall but to their dismay, Hyacinth decides to take charge of the arrangements.
