The Animorphs try out the disk, but nothing happens. Jake and Marco realize that someone very close to Jake is a Controller. The Controller turns out to be Jake's brother, Tom. Jake wants his brother back, and he'll do anything to do it. They tried morphing out into ferocious animals from the clinic that Cassie's mother works in. Jake acquires a tiger and Rachel acquires a lion. They use it to try and free all of the humans in the Yeerk Pool located under the school. Their attempt ended with no free humans, without Tom, Tobias was gone (probably captured by the Yeerks), and the disk was lost.

The Andalite disk is still lost and the Yeerks wish to barter for it: they will trade the disk for an Andalite. Jake and Marco trick a Controller into capturing an actual animal, and think they've gotten away with the disk clean. Meanwhile, the Sharing moves forward with its plans to harvest more Controllers, and the compromise over the disk turns out to be a trap. Hopefully, the Animorphs will be able to outsmart the Controllers.

5. Between Friends

It is now certain that Tobias is stuck in morph. Now Rachel decides to rescue Melissa Chapman, who is about to be infested by the Yeerks. Chapman, however, is an important controller himself. Rachel is caught in Cat morph and is taken to Visser Three. The Animorphs have to rescue Rachel and make a decision to not endanger themselves recklessly.

6. The Message

7. The Escape
First aired: 10/20/1998 Production Code: 107The Animorphs discover that a certain type of oatmeal is a stimulant to the Yeerks, and they are unable to crontrol their hosts' actions. However, the usage of this "drug" also affects the hosts, but the Animorphs know they must use this advantage to inflict some serious damage upon the Yeerk pool.

Jake's father is almost ready to open the Health Wellness Center, a division of the hospital he works at. At dinner, Jake found out that Victor Trent (also known as Visser Three) is a partner of his dad's in the creation of the health clinic.
Jake went to help his dad, there were a lot of security, but he had to leave. The Animorphs investigate why they had lots of security - the infestation of the governor, Ax scans Marco's video card to respond to all human codes. The Animorphs enter the building as roaches, and searches for the Yeerk Pool. Once they found it, they destroyed the Yeerk Pool in a room and Jake falls into the pool. The Animorphs did not know that Jake was a Controller when they left.

After the Animorphs successfully fried the Yeerk pool, Ax alerts the group that Jake was made into a Controller. The Animorphs now tie Jake up for three days to starve the Yeerk of Kandrona Rays. Jake and the Yeerk go at it mentally to see who was the greatest will. Also, the other Animorphs have to keep "Jake" from using his morphing powers to escape.

Cassie and Rachel save a boy from a crocodile pit and she began to change when she doesn't want to because she was allergic to crocodiles. Cassie's morphing out of control. She has been invited to the Larry and Linda Show where the famous star, Jason Jon McCole is also a guest talking about The Sharing.
Cassie got rid of the defective crocodile DNA by burping it out and stopped Jason Jon McCole before millions of rabid female JJM fans decide that The Sharing is the club for them. The Crocodile was on the loose, but the Animorphs were able to stop it. Marco morphed a llama while Jake and Ax morphed beetles.

He captures Ax and lures in the rest of the Animorphs. When it all looks hopeless, a mystical figure, the Ellimist, offers the Animorphs a dangerous choice.

She unknowingly wanders into a human-Controller infested area and is about to be taken by the Yeerks. Marco, Jake, and Cassie have to not only save her, but restore her memory.

Marco is painting while Jake finds out Visser One will be at the EGS Tower, where the Kandrona is and the mock Yeerk sun, which nourishes the Yeerks. Now all they need to do is find a way to get in and destroy it.
The Animorphs go spy on the Yeerks but they have a Morphing Detector so when Jake and Marco morphed lizards the alarm went off and the walls close around them. The Yeerks have captured Jake and Marco in a spacecraft, then they blast off, and they were being sent to the Yeerk pool ship. They needed to find a way to escape, and when they escape and got lost in the Yeerk Mother Ship, they discovered a startling secret; Marco's Mom was alive, controlled by Visser One.

Cassie and Rachel break the Kandrona and return to the barn where Ax was, while Jake was still trying to find a way to escape the pool ship, but Marco did not want to just leave his mother behind now that he found out she's alive. But they can't stay and risk being caught, so they had no choice. So, they decided to hijack a Yeerk blade ship.
Rachel and Cassie use Ax to help guide Jake and Marco back to earth. Jake and Marco safely got back to Earth, but now a new enemy has been revealed.

First aired: 1/19/1999 Production Code: 114Ax has created a device that allows an individual to relive their most cherished memories. Tobias uses it to relive his pre-Animorph life. He relives meeting Rachel and first acquiring animal DNA. Likewise, Ax gets a taste of reliving his days. Tobias remembers how awkward Ax was at first when he became human.

All of the Animorphs never met the Andalite prince, except Tobias, who stumbled upon him. Soon, all of the former Animorphs except Tobias become infested by the Yeerks. Tobias will have to carefully plot his move so he won't be next.

The Animorphs find out that the Yeerks don't have enough Kandrona Rays for a lot of Controllers so there are a lot of Controllers that are sick like Tom, Yeerks are dying from lack of Kandrona Rays. One of them happens to be the Yeerk who controls science teacher Mr. Perkins. Now, Mr. Perkins is on a crusade to free other Controllers.
Jake and Marco try to rescue Tom but they find out that Mr. Perkins (Teacher) is a free Controller, and is also trying to free Tom, but Tom escapes. He gathers up some Controllers and look for Mr. Perkins, but fortunately, Jake as a Tiger and Marco as a Wolf scares away all the Controllers and save Mr. Perkins.
Jake looked for Mr. Perkins at the camping site, and discussed how they will help each other out.

At the basketball final, the Animorphs discover that all of their enemies will be in one place, so they must be cunning in their tactics. However, a plan goes horribly wrong as Jake is trapped. The Animorphs must now split up to find the disk and free Jake!
