Reverend Eric Camden (Stephen Collins) and his wife Annie (Catherine Hicks) have always had their hands full caring for seven children, not to mention the friends, sweethearts and spouses that continually come and go in the Camden household.

This year, Eric and Annie will find themselves with much less to handle as most of their family is out of the house and in pursuing their own dreams.

Matt and Sarah are away in New York; finally doctors and raising their newborn twin boys. A rekindled Mary and Carlos have also relocated back to New York with their son, little Charles Miguel, as well as their newborn twin daughters. Simon is finally away at a university this year after a rocky period last year when being engaged to Rose. Ruthie is also out of the house for the time being in Scotland on a student exchange program for the school semester.

Despite most of the family being gone, Eric and Annie are still there for their daughter, Lucy (Beverley Mitchell) and husband Kevin (George Stults) as they cope with the loss of their twins after Lucy had a miscarriage earlier in the year. At this point in their marriage, Lucy and Kevin have hit a rough patch and only time will tell if open wounds will be mended. Meanwhile, Lucy continues to be Sandy (Haylie Duff) and Martin's (Tyler Hoechlin) support via phone call as the couple determines on where their relationship stands together as well as raising their son together. Sandy is still heartbroken over her feelings of Simon not being recipricated back after she admitted it to Simon at his wedding, but Martin hopes to fill the void as the man she wants to be with for the rest of her life.

At the same time Eric and Annie continue to raise 8-year-olds, Sam and David (Lorenzo and Nikolas Brino) to the best of their abilities...which eventually leads to Eric homeschooling the boys this year.

Also, after many years of battling heart problems, Eric is stunned to find out his recent diagnosis on his heart condition. This leads him to hide his condition from the rest of the family, which eventually does blow up in his face.

Nonethelss, together or apart, the Camden family is connected always and forever as the heart of the true American family in 7th Heaven. After 11 heavenly seasons in Glenoak, the longest-running family drama in television history bids us farewell as Eric and Annie decide to pack up and travel America in their new RV.

Eric and Annie decide to see America by way of an RV, given to them in celebration of Eric's clean bill of health. Initially taken aback by this momentous and sudden decision, Lucy and Kevin ultimately decide to join Eric, Annie and the rest of the family - and extended family - on their exciting new adventure.

7th Heaven is the kind of show you come across on a day when you're really bored, and think "Well, this will do...", not something that makes you jump on the edge of your seat at the same time every week, wondering what will happen next.

While the plot can sometimes be intriguing, I usually don't watch an episode more than once, since the 'drama' is often the thing that makes me keep watching. The acting is absolutely not some of the best I've seen, and some of the ideals make me want to throw my TV out of the window. The show is just a little too (Please don't shoot me for this!) American for my taste.

It is a guilty pleasure for me, because, as much criticism as the show deserves, in my opinion, I still stop and watch it when I come across it, without looking for something better to watch, and I know that, if I come across it in a store, I'd probably buy it, wanting to see the first couple of seasons, since they aren't showed on Danish television. 7th Heaven can be recommended if you're bored, it does make time go by faster!

Well let me begin by telling you that I have watched since it first aied on the WB and without a doubt it is a fav of mine....the best part of this show is that yes the are Preacher's Kids (PK's) but they all have there faults,as we all do. Matt: as the oldest has the problem of every other Camden turning to him for advise and the fact that he was smoking at the beging og the show and that he falls in love with every girl he dates are just to name a few.

Mary: Wild Child i men yeah shes a great ball player but throws that all out the wido when she along with her teammates vadalive the gym then she meet "Robbie" doing community service no less she then can't hold down a job..... Must i go on.

Lucy: What can I say about Lucy shes a cry baby and well talk about drama but for some reason you can't help wanting to comfort her in all that she goes thru

Simon: aka the bamk of Simon : Talk about a savy kid i think he got in to more trouble than most of the clan from drinking to smoking to sex befor marriage to co-habitation...thats just to name a few Ruthie: Now we're talking probobly my fave of all the kids she was Simons right hand girl and the voice of reason of as young as 5 she new all that was going on in the house and as she got older she did in fact get wiser The Twins Sam and David: They were the OMG moment in the show they were not expected nor were they shuned only by ruthie and oly cause she felt left out i guess they didn't have to much time to do to much wrong but they did like when tey wanted to hlpe the church the were stealing money but hey they were babys

Eric and Annie: They did a great job blancing family wrok and love into there everyday life

Wow to Brenda Hampton for this episode .. it was absutely amazing. It was kind of obvious why Lucy hired helped get Eric a job a that radio station, I am so glad that they got Usher to play Will I thought he did a hell of a job playing that roll, lol what Ruthie did to Jake was hysterical haha go Ruthie haha i thought that was great... Annie's expression on her face was priceless =) I loved it how Will tried to get Carl to open up on the bench when Will found him. I thought that was great. He just did an excellent job playing a counslor thing on the show in my opinion, now to the Lucy and Kevin thing I'm glad Lucy finally is trying to drop the whole jealously thing it was actually getting kind of annoying to tell you the truth. I thought it was nice of her to ask Roxanne not to switch partners with Kevin I thought that was cool anyways great episode...

Who ever made this crap should go to jail.
The hole fundamentalistic happy family is just a joke with their BS problems.
Worst one, was when the gay kid "Aaron Carter hair cut" was heaving sex and for some reason that was huge problem that he wasn�t married etc.
I was literally banging my head against the wall, how the hell is that a problem???
Kids today are using crack and most schools have metal detectors so kids don�t bring weapons to school.
IF only kids just made sweet love there wouldn�t be any school shootings. Jeusus Allah and his friends get a grip of reality.

P.S The only reason any one would watch this show is because Biel is hot.

A beautiful show that was interesting to the very end! It was a sad day when it finally ended. A show about a family with real lives and real problems.
It was nice to see a show where the parents did their best to raise their kids right. To see kids going through 'normal' problems as they grew up and went through the different stages of life.
The show can come of as being lame at times but overall I would say that it is a underrated classic. A well made and acted tv series that should have lasted longer than it did.
